After the UGG madness, MOON BOOT makes a launch for the slopes this year!

You might recognise them from the ski slopes (Hello Olivia Palermo in St. Moritz!): Moon Boot! These particular boots were introduced back in the 1970s and have been totally discovered at home and abroad this year. What many people don't know (but might already be expecting) is that these boots were inspired by the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969. Founder Giancarlo Zanatta was inspired by the shape and technology of anti-gravity boots worn by astronauts. It became a popular winter boot for skiing and (off course!) après-ski in the following decades.

The Moon Boot is made of waterproof nylon and has a thick rubber sole that provides extra grip on slippery surfaces. The boots are lined with soft materials such as fleece or sheep's wool to keep your feet nice and warm in cold temperatures.
