AMI PARIS
The brand Ami Paris was picked up by Luuk, who was initially very enthusiastic about the men's and unisex collection that already made a name for itself in the world of very exclusive fashion brands. But after seeing the online fashion show of last season, as well as the unisex collection, the women's runway collection was also too cool to be ignored.
When we make a buying trip to Paris, most showrooms and agencies are located in the same 'fashion district', where several cool offices (including design interiors) are interspersed with cool exclusive fashion stores. As far as Ami Paris is concerned, we should have known better, because Ami was founded by a true Parisian with a very own relaxed and authentic style, so in the end it might have been more suitable for this brand that they didn't care about the 'majorité' and started a showroom somewhere in a quiet residential area, near the Eiffel Tower however. A small note on 'near', because we have been looking for it forever and that characteristic Eiffel Tower seems to be getting further and further behind us. When we arrived at the designated address, our doubts were only strengthened by the lack of the former 'typical designer style showroom'. A large double French door with 'Garage de réparation' above it only increases the question mark over our heads. Oh well, we'll ring the bell and see. Once inside, in one of those delightful Parisian courtyards, it turns out that the only recognition point is a small note with the Ami Paris logo pinned to a large silver roll-up door. Little did we know!
Because even though the Ami Paris showroom is literally located in a very old and huge garage, there is a very special and pleasant buzzing vibe! Partly due to the presence of visibly authentic international fashion lovers, each with their own expressive style. A very special and unique atmosphere that makes your heart beat faster and gives you the jitters in your stomach, here are unique plans forged, worked out and collaborated on by equally special, enthusiastic and cool people.
So; we have selected a large collection of Ami Paris with a variety of basic style items with iconic Ami logo prints, but also very cool fashion show items (in fluor pink and fluor green) that perfectly radiate the unique brand vibes and will expand our ladies collection with another quirky, fashionable and exclusive brand!
Side note: The word AMI means 'friend' in French. Alexandre Mattiussi deliberately chose the name AMI, because AMI is also reflected in his initials: Alexandre Mattiussi.
